A full-day school programme for youth who have graduated from high school, Youth Reaching Youth provides youth with a second chance at their overall development:
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
3 CSEC Subjects – GRADES 1-3: Mathematics, English and a Science Subject (Biology, Human & Social Biology and Integrated Science).
Education/Prevention Programme for targeted & non-targeted groups consisting of the following: – training courses in Christian Peer Education, training in Peer Leadership Development, Class-room educational sessions in life-skills and health education topics, large group sensitization sessions on issues affecting teens, life skill workshops, parenting workshops, provides training in employable skills for parents, hosting local and regional conferences in Peer Education, training and consultancy services for others.
DURATION:
The programme is offered over two (2) years. All students pursuing this programme must cover all courses offered in Years one (1) and two (2).
PROGRAMME DESCRIPTION
TUITION:
All students enrolled in the SFPP will receive tuition assistance from the Ministry of Education, Skills, Youth & Information annually for the first two (2) years of the programme. This is paid directly to the institution. Students will be required to pay the difference to cover the remaining cost of their tuition and any other administrative costs.

YRY has networked with the following institutions: The Ministry of Health; Red Cross of Jamaica; Schools; Inter-School Christian Fellowship; Youth groups within Churches; Christian Brethren Assemblies; The Transport Authority, Rise Life Management; The National Council on Drug Abuse, Nannyville Youth Association, The Council of Voluntary Social Services, Inter-American Development Bank and the DOH Project of the European Union. The importance of networking cannot be overestimated as it is within this realm that youths can be ministered to in a wholistic manner.
Schools, Churches, youth on the street corners, community youth clubs, correctional facilities for youth, health centres, mercy institutions and organizations involved in youth development locally, regionally and internationally.
